Which leave calculator answers which question

The National Employment Standards set minimum leave for employees, and your award, agreement or contract can give you more, but not less. Casual employees do not get paid annual or sick leave.

Each leave calculator handles one question. The annual leave calculator gives your balance and what it is worth after tax if paid out. The sick leave calculator tracks your paid sick and carer's leave. The leave loading calculator works out the extra amount paid with annual leave, where your award or agreement provides it.

Long service leave sits outside those minimums for most employees. It comes from a separate law in each state and territory, so the long service leave calculator works from the Act for your state: weeks accrued, what they are worth, and when you are entitled.

Losing a job brings these together. The redundancy calculator estimates redundancy pay under the National Employment Standards, the payout of unused leave and the tax on both.
